Property investigation of double-heterostructure photonic crystal cavity

With FDTD simulations, the mode structure and corresponding quality factors are analyzed, and the polarization properties of the far-field radiation are studied. The results indicate that the quality factor of double-heterostructure cavity is high and cavity modes exhibit quite distinct far-field properties. © 2012 OSA.
