Tube-rail transportation system architecture

A novel access transportation system running in the capsule pipeline and using linear motor driver, called Tube-rail, was proposed. It integrated the advantages of sealed, high security, pollution-free of the pipeline transportation system and the advantages of flexible grouping and large capacity of the rail transportation. On the basis of system characteristics analysis, the system logical structure and physical structure were established in hierarchical pattern. Tube-rail system consisted of the infrastructure of the track, pipeline, automatic loading and unloading devices, motor drive device and the applications of organizational planning, operational control and security service from bottom up. It was a complete transportation system compared with the existing demonstration line in Florida. The establishment and operation of Tube-rail system in Inner Mongolia marked the production of a novel access transportation mode. The popularization of the related technologies used in coal transportation will make an important contribution to changing the railway freight transportation pattern and reducing the coal transportation cost. © right.
