Research On The Internal Force And The Normal Displacement Of The Storage Tank Under Earthquake Action

Vertical storage tank is widely used as a liquid storage container in the oil deposit, petrochemical industry and related enterprise. It always stores inflammable, explosive medium. The consequences are very serious, when the earthquake disaster occurs. In this paper, we build models of model tank and 30,000 m(3) tanks with the finite element method, and analyze their vibration characteristics and seismic response. We wish that the research can provide fundamental data for the similar studies.
