Abstract
Using Haoshuichuan watershed as an example, the infiltration deep of rainfall was analyzed, the comparison analysis of the water reduction between terrace and slope land were worked out through the results of penetration test and soil moisture. The result shows that the ratios of store water in soil to rainfall are 0.81 in terrace and 0.72 in slope land. In the south area in Ningxia, the rainfall is scarce, the water losses and soil erosion is serious, the environment is tender and sensitive. In order to conserver the water resource, preserve the soil and encourage the healthy development of environment, erosion and torrent control works and measures were built, especially the terrace and check dams, which increased the roughness of the surface and changed the micro feature and soil structure [1]. So the water storage and infiltration ability of the soil was improved. The analysis of water and silt reduction of the measures concerns to the operation and management of the reservoirs and check dams. Meanwhile, it is the basis of water and silt study. Most important, it is the groundwork to the water and erosion and torrent control works planning. According to the penetration test and lots of soil moisture data, the water reduction ability of terrace and slope land were analyzed, which can provide decision evidence.
