Cultivation and guarantee of core competition ability in local small-medium construction firms

With the development of the reform and opening and the market economy in our country, numerous domestic local small-medium construction enterprises got many development opportunities and faced many competition challenges which never appeared before. For local small-medium construction firms, they should cultivate the core competition ability if they are sure to win wider space for survival and development. Facing these development opportunities and competition challenges, they should not only set a novel principle of management, but also involve special operation and coordination competition and constantly absorb development powers from innovation. For the local government and administrative departments, they must take many steps to service the local small-medium construction firms with the cultivation and guarantee of core competition ability. Basing on the investigation on the local small-medium construction firms in Huaian, this paper found that the core competition ability was a strategic choice of local small-medium firms, explored how to cultivate core competition ability and how to guarantee the core competition ability of firms. The conclusions in this paper can provide those decision-markers in local small-medium construction firms and those local administrative departments with some good advice. © 2012 IEEE.
