Abstract
In component-based engineering, an important issue is to design and select components to achieve Cost and Reliability (CROS). To solve the CROS efficiently, we presented a three-phased method (TPA) for finding all efficient solutions. To evaluate the effectiveness of TPA, Nondominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm was applied to the CROS for comparison in this paper. Simulations on varying sizes of problems as computational study were conducted, and the results indicate that TPA is more effective than previous methods in determining efficient solutions. © Sila Science.
