New nonlinear torque control technique considering saturation for IPMSM

One novel and engineering application nonlinear torque control technique for IPMSM (Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) was presented. The proposed method not only realized the i d, i q according to the torque command, but also considering the inductance variation with the current when the motor enters into saturation. The presented strategy had the ability to regulate the command torque, meanwhile this strategy realized the two control mode-MTPA (Maximum Torque-Per-Ampere) and FW (Field Weakening), which made full use of the torque of the IPMSM. The presented method not require look up table and least calculation, and it was implemented and tested on a 47 kW IPMSM. The results were presented herein to validate the steady state and dynamic performance of the proposed algorithm. © 2012 American Scientific Publishers. All Rights Reserved.
