2008年7月10日至8月21日,安顺市西秀区华西办事处发生伤寒暴发,发病88例.疫情发生后,省、市、县、乡各级开展了调查与防治工作,疫情得到有效控制,证实暴发与铁路系统自来水受到污染有关,而疫情报告不及时,失去控制疫情的最佳时机,是导致疫情扩散蔓延的重要原因.
