1994年10月～2001年10月中国药品生物制品检定所利用1996年卫生部科技贷款和自筹资金将我国自行分离、减毒的狂犬病毒株,适应于Vero细胞,该毒种在Vero细胞中增生快,病毒效价可达到108/ml以上,产量高.且免疫原性非常优良,该毒种已获国家食品药品监督管理局正式批准,并于2005年被WHO正式出版的文件确认为人用疫苗的毒种.
