Safety monitoring on bottom plate and side slopes of Three Gorges ship lift

We mainly introduce the safety monitoring on bottom plates and side slopes of Three Gorges ship lift during construction period,including slope deformation and bottom plate temperature monitoring,rock foundation and concrete quality detection.The safety monitoring supports the construction and management of the project and guarantee the engineering quality and safety.The understandings and results from the monitoring works reveal the laws of temperature and crack control for thin layer concrete and temperature deformation of upper tower structure of the ship lift.
