Influence of VC-Li2 CO3 Additives on the Electrochemical Properties of Electrolyte with TMP as Flame Retardant for Lithium-ion Batteries

Abstract
The electrolytes with TMP as flame retardant for lithium-ion battery were prepared,which are 1 mol·L-1 LiPF6(1-y%)(ECn-DMC1.0-EMC1.0)-y% TMP((n,y)=(1,44%),(1.5,39%),(2,35%),(1.0,0%)).Influence of VC-Li2CO3 electrolyte additives on the electrochemcial properties of electroyte with TMP flame redartant were investigated using graphite anode and LiCoO2 cathode.Results showed that the electrolyte of 1 mol·L-1 LiPF6 61%(EC1.5-DMC1.0-EMC1.0)-39%TMP-4%VC-0.05 mol·L-1 Li2CO3 delivered good electrochemcial properties.The TMP reduction decomposition and co-intercalation behavior on graphite electrode is suppressed with 4%VC-0.05 mol·L-1 Li2CO3 additives.The graphite anode has a discharge capacities of 336.5 mAh·g-1 at first cycle and 334.5 mAh·g-1 after 20 cycles at 0.1 C ratio.The LiCoO2 cathode has a discharge capacity of 145.2 mAh·g-1 at first cycle and 136.5 mAh·g-1 after 20 cycles at 0.1C ratio.
