Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the inhibitory effects of the total saponin extracted from the Aralia Chinesis L.against hepatitis B virus(HBV) in vitro. Methods:HepG 2.2.15 cells as target cell were exposed to different concentrations of total saponin in and lamivudine respectively.PCR was applied to quqntify extracellular HBV DNA.Results:The 50% inhibitory concentration(IC50) of total saponin extracellular HBV DNA was 0.128g/L respectively, and treatment index(TI) was 5.23g/L respectively. Conclusion:The total saponin extracted from Aralia Chinesis L.inhibits HBV replication in vitro to some extent.
