Present situation of multi-drug resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis.

OBJECTIVE To understand the status of Mycobacterium tuberculosis and multi-drugresistant nosocomial infection,to take effective measures to control nosocomial infection,as well as to provide the scientific basis for clinical rational drug use.METHODS The sputum M.tuberculosis culture and drug susceptibility test results of 1460 cases of tuberculosis hospital patients admitted from Jan 2008 to Dec 2009 were analyzed retrospectively.RESULTS M.tuberculosis multidrug-resistant strains accounted for 14.66%.Among the 1460 strains of tested M.tuberculosis,multi-drug resistant strains of tuberculosis accounted for 23.58%,single drug resistant strains accounted for 35.74%.CONCLUSION Tuberculosis hospitals at all levels should attach importance to the drug resistance of M.tuberculosis and prevention of the spread of multi-drug resistant strains and epidemics.
