Summary of Comprehensive Utilization of Phosphogypsum and Extraction of Rare Earth Metals

The comprehensive utilization of phosphogypsum and the technology of extracting RE metals as by-products are summarized in this paper.The new method introduces a way to turnpart of the waste into the main supplementarymaterial for the treatment of phosphogypsum.Besides,the waste is also recycled in other ways or converted into new products such as RE metals with lower manufacturing cost.What is more,contrasting to the usual technological process of deliveringthe waste directly into the environment,the new method meets the goal of making the most use of the phosphogypsum and being friendly to the environment satisfactorily.
