A Theoretical Research on High Iron Sphalerite's Catalytic Oxidation Under High Pressure Oxygen and Ammonia Soaks

In order to overcome the problems existed in zinc smelting using high iron sphalerite,the production methods of zinc,including pyrometallurgy and traditional wet-process metallurgy together with full wet-process metallurgy building on acid leaching,were summarized.Because all the metallurgy were failed to simultaneously resolve the high extraction rate of zinc and iron in the low conflict between the extraction rate,a new method on high iron sphalerite's catalytic oxidation under high pressure oxygen and ammonia soaks is advanced.Thermodynamics and dynamics research indicated this method is feasible.
