Abstract
The gamma ray decays of many levels in /sup 55/Mn have been studied following their formation in neutron inelastic scattering. Angular distributions have been measured at incident neutron energies of 2.20, 2.73, and 3.15 MeV. Branching ratios and multipole mixing ratios were determined for several transitions. The 2.199 MeV state is assigned 7/2/sup -/ and the 2.366 MeV state is tentatively assigned 9/2/sup -/.
