Resistivity and susceptibility near the QCP in disordered UCu5−xNix

The question of whether the temperature dependences of the magnetic susceptibility and the electrical resistivity of UCu5−xNix near, and away from, the QCP where TN is suppressed to T=0 are due to intrinsic fluctuations or are dominated by disorder effects is addressed. The interesting ρ∝logT behavior below 2K present for 0.75⩽x⩽1.1 is analyzed and discussed.
