p-p Small-angle scattering at high energy

Summary  The differential cross-section dσ/dΩ in the e.m.s. for elastic p-p scattering has been measured, with the nuclear emulsion technique, for incoming protons of 27.5 GeV/c. The data refer to values of a transferred quadrimomentum 5·10-3t -2 (GeV/e)2. From the analysis of the experimental data we have obtained for the ratio between the real and the imaginary parts of the nuclear scattering amplitude the value ϱ = - 0.23 ± 0.13.
