Retroperitoneal laparoscopic surgery for treating urologic diseases in 25 cases

Objective:To investigate the clinical effects of retroperitoneal laparoscopic surgery in treatment of diseases of adrenal glands,kidneys and ureters.Methods:By using a mini-incision into retroperitoneal space to establish a surgical access,25 patients with diseases of adrenal glands,renal tumor,renal cysts,ureteral calculi were operated by means of retroperitoneal laparoscopic surgery.Results:The surgery was successfully accomplished in 166 patients with satisfactory therapeutic effect.No case was converted to open operation.There were no severe complications in these cases.Conclusion:Retroperitoneal laparoscopic surgery in urology has the advantages of minimal trauma,less blood loss and fewer complications.The clinical effects are reliable with strong practicability.
