摘要

A “portico” was installed with the aim of preventing spark damage to column components and of increasing the terminal voltage. First experiences: no spark damage is observed, especially deconditioning of accelerating tubes by sparks has disappeared. No significant increase in terminal voltage due to axial effects has been attained.
