摘要
Results: The 30 day mortality in patients with severely depressed LVD was 5.6%. Median survival for deceased patients 3.4 years, interquartile range 1.3–5.9 years. The unadjusted survival analysis for LVEF showed that the risk of all cause mortality attributable to severe LV dysfunction was increased three-fold compared to having normal LV output, Hazard Ratio = 3.67 (95% CI = 2.72–4.95), p < .001. Among the covariates, older age, emergency surgery, tobacco smoking history, respiratory disease, diabetes, CVD, perioperative pleural effusion, perioperative renal failure, urgent surgery. And non-use of LIMA was detected as significant predictors of increased mortality risk. Conclusion: Coronary artery bypass grafting can be performed in patients with severely left ventricular dysfunction with acceptable albeit higher perioperative mortality. Although severe LVD carries over three-fold mortality risk compared to mild LVD, median survival of this patient group was acceptable.
