The analysis and application of the micro-column gel test in irregular antibody detection

Objective:To investigate the value of micro-column gel test in the detection of irregular antibody and to ensure safety of the blood transfusion.Methods: Micro-column gel test and polybrene test were used to detect serum irregular antibody in patients before blood transfusion and identify the specificity of the positive specimens.Results: 13 irregular antibody positive cases were screened in the 3200 patients and the positive rate was 0.41%.Among them,anti-D was 3 cases,anti-E was 5 cases,anti-C was 2 cases,anti-Ec,anti-e and anti-M were all 1 case.Conclusion: The micro-column gel test was a simple,rapid and sensitive method in the irregular antibody screening,which had great significance in avoiding hemolytic transfusion reaction and ensuring the safety of blood transfusions.
