Abstract
Objective To investigate the correlation of morphological MRI features with the expression of estrogen receptor(ER),progesterone receptor(PR),CerbB-2 and Ki-67 in breast cancer. Methods MRI was performed in 18 patients with primary breast cancer(20 foci,2 patients had foci in bilateral breasts),and morphological features of breast cancer were analyzed. The expression of ER,PR,CerbB-2 and Ki-67 in breast cancer was measured by ElivisionTMplus immunohistochemistry after operation. Results Among the 18 patients,MRI showed peculated margin in 14(70%),ring-enhancement in 12(60%) and lobulation in 10(50%).The lobulation was positively correlated with Ki-67 expression(P=0.035),but had no correlation with the expression of ER,PR and CerbB-2.Ring-enhancement and speculated margin did not show correlation with the expression of ER,PR,CerbB-2 and Ki-67.Conclusion There is a positive correlation between the lobulation and Ki-67 expression, suggesting that breast cancer with lobulation has a higher proliferative activity.Ring-enhancement and speculated margin have no correlation with the invasiveness, degree of malignancy and prognosis of breast cancer, suggesting that ring-enhancement and speculated margin have no definite significance in guiding the therapy of breast cancer.
