Eighteen volunteers from the Junior League Evanston-North Shore spent a sunny Saturday recently participating in "X-treme Makeover Part 2" for Mary Lou's Place, the YWCA's domestic violence shelter. The event was the thrilling conclusion of six months of careful planning and many days of hard work that resulted in a fresh new look for the Shelter's intake offices, including new paint, carpeting, light fixtures and furnishings.
