摘要
A missing-mass search has been made for negatively charged boson resonances ${B}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ produced in the reaction ${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}p\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{B}^{\ensuremath{-}}p$ at beam momenta of 40, 100, 200, and 240 GeV. Approximately 600 000 events were included in the final mass spectra. In the mass region $2\ensuremath{\le}{M}_{B}\ensuremath{\le}12.5$ GeV no statistically significant enhancements were observed. The 5-standard-deviation upper limit on the production of narrow resonances is of the order of 10 \ensuremath{\mu}b for $2\ensuremath{\le}{M}_{B}\ensuremath{\le}10.5$ GeV.
