Regional development strategy of Gansu Province based on city contacts

By analyzing the central functions of urban economics of fourteen cities of Gansu Province,this article firstly districts these cities into four classes.Then it compares and analyzes the economic contact,economic membership and accessibility of Lanzhou with capital cities which adjacent to Lanzhou.Finally,it points out that in order to achieve leapfrog development goals of Gansu Province,economic contacts with neighboring capital cities especially Xi' an and Xining should be strengthened in addition to the guidance of new strategy for regional economic development.
