Determination of phthalate esters in environmental water

Objective:To establish a method for determination of phthalate esters in environmental water by gas chromatography.Methods:Using all kinds of technique for the pretreatment of the water samples and phthalate esters were extracted and enriched,and separated by gas chromatography.Results:The six kinds of phthalate esters were absolutely separated.Determination limit was between 1.9 and 2.9 μg/L,the recoveries between 83.8% and 94.0% and RSD between 2.02% and 2.95%.Conclusion:The proposed method has been applied to the analysis of samples for the benzene series and samples can be separated better and quickly.
