摘要
There may be a bias in data presented in an August 19 article in Lancet on female-to-male transmission factors of HIV-1. When HIV-1 is sexually transmitted the period between exposure and seroconversion may be much shorter in uncircumcised men with genital ulcer disease. This suggests that the short 14 week mean follow-up time may have overestimated the association between the above risk factors and seroconversion since most sexually exposed men may not have presented positive within that time period.
