Abstract
Objective To observe the blood supply of femoral head and evaluate prognosis in acute femoral neck fracture by digital subtraction angiography (DSA).Methods 26 patients with single femoral neck fracture underwent DSA of femoral circumflex artery in 5 days after fracture to observe the blood circulation of femoral head. All patients were follow-up from 18 to 36 months. Results Lateral circumflex artery were displayed clearly in 17cases,medial circumflex artery in 13 cases;both lateral and medial circumflex artery were displayed only in 9 cases.3 patients had osteonecrosis of the femoral head in the early period of follow-up.Conclusion DSA in medial circumflex artery was an ideal method to find out the blood supply of femoral head in early femoral neck fracture case.It can be used to evaluate prognosis.
