摘要

Optical absorption induced by photon radiation was evaluated for several commercial pure silica core, single mode, optical fibres. The study was performed for three different wavelengths: 630, 670 and 785nm. We have identified a fibre whose induced transmission loss stays below 1dB/m after 300kGy gamma-ray irradiation.
