Preliminary Research on the Biological Characteristics of Bagarius yarrelli

The habitat river of wild fish Bagarius yarrelli was investigated on the spot.The anatomic characteristics for the inside organ of 61 fish with 20.4～43.5 cm body length and 124～1200 g weight and the domestication of wild fish were studied.The characteristics of the outside morphology and structure,and the composition of digestive system for Bagarius yarrelli were described in this paper.The results showed that the ratio of intestines length and body length was 1.19,and this wild fish should be classified to the bottom-dwelling carnivorous fish.
