Abstract
To isolate flavonoids components from Salix Babylonica L. and study their effects on stimulating fat catabolism, flavonoids were isolated by Microwave Heating Extraction (MHE) and silica,Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography. The effects on NE-induced lipolysis and inhibiting intestine absorption for fatty acid were assessed by measuring the quantities of fatty acid. Three compounds were obtained from Salix Babylonica L.and identified as luteolin-7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (Ⅰ),luteolin (Ⅱ) and chrysoeriol(Ⅲ). Compound Ⅲ was isolated from this plant for the first time. Pharmacological researches indicated that the three compounds can accelerate NE-induced lipolysis and inhibit the intestinal absorbtion for fatty acid. Among them Compound Ⅰ shows the strongest activities. Flavonoids from Salix babylonica L.could promote NE-induced lipolysis and be involved in the further exploitation of natural anti-obesity drugs.
