Analysis on Mumps Epidemiology in Jin chang City,Gansu During 2006—2012

OBJECTIVE To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of mumps in Jinchang City,Gansu during 2006 —2012 and provide scientific evidence for the prevention and control of mumps.METHODS Descriptive epidemiological analysis was conducted on the cases of mumps during 2006—2012.RESULTS 1 931 mumps cases were reported in Jinchang City during 2006—2012.The annual average incidence of mumps was 59.44/100 000.Cases were distilbuted to every month,and mosfly focused on July and October.Mumps cases accounted for 86.84% of the total number of case under the age of 15,among them,5 to 9 years old group was 50.00%.The ratio between male and female was 1.99:1.CONCLUSION The children of 5～9 years old in Jinchang City have the highest incidence of the epidemic parotitis.MMR vaccine shuld be vaccined to the children of 5～9 years old.
