摘要
The British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology was first published bimonthly in 1974 and has been published monthly since 1978. The original stated scope of the Journal was ‘all aspects of drug therapy and human toxicology’ [1], and that has not changed. This reflects the mission statement of the British Pharmacological Society: ‘Promoting the disciplines of pharmacology and therapeutics and providing advice on standards of teaching and practice to policy makers’. In addition to all the types of publication that one would expect to find in a learned journal (editorial commentaries, reviews, full papers, short reports, correspondence, obituaries, and book reviews), the Journal publishes the proceedings of the Clinical Section of the British Pharmacological Society, which it has done since 1974, and the proceedings of the Dutch Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Biopharmacy, which it has done since 1999.
