摘要
The obese-hyperglycemic syndrome in mice is associated with a reduced endocrine activity of the testis. The hypothesis that the presence of obesity inhibits the gonadotrophin secretion with a resulting hypoplasia of the Leydig cells was tested by quantitative microscopic analyses both of obese-hyperglycemic mice kept on a restricted food intake and in mice in which hyperphagia and obesity had been induced by injections of gold-thioglucose. There was no evidence for the view that overeating in itself gives rise to any depression of the endocrine testis function in mice.
