Abstract
BACKGROUND CONTEXT: Long fusion has high risks of peusoarthrosis at L5S1 and pullout failure of S1 screws. Many biomechanical studies of long construct have been primarily focused on various fixation techniques, such as multiple sacral screws, iliac screws, and anterior column support, in protecting the S1 pedicle screw. No studies have evaluated the effect of the number of fusion levels.
