Abstract
The correlation analysis between economic traits and grain quality traits in Japonica rice of Yunnan plateau were carried out by using 74 breeding parents. The results indicated that:(i)Panicles per plant was highly positively correlated with head rice rate and gel consistency and negatively correlated with amylase content and ADV.(ii) 1000-grain weight was highly negatively correlated with appearance quality and highly positivety correlated and positively correlated with brown rice rate and amylase content.(iii)There was no significant correlation between filled spikelets per panicle and grain quality traits. It was discussed about how to develop and cultivate cultivar with highly yield and good grain quality in Yunnan Japonica rice region.
