Genetic Relationships between Dy-2006 and Other Alfalfa Varieties Based on SSR Markers

The genetic relationships among six alfalfa varieties including Dy-2006 were analyzed using simple sequence repeat markers.128 bands were amplified with 8 pairs of primers,among which 106 bands showed polymorphism,and the rate of polymorphic loci was 82.81%.There were differences in polymorphism percent among these varieties,ranging from 32.81% to 45.31%.The genetic similarity(F) ranged from 0.9062 to 0.9689 and genetic distance(D) ranged from 0.0326 to 0.0762.The results of cluster analysis indicated that new strain Dy-2006 was a relatively independent strain which was different from other cultivars,and it has the relative more closer genetic relationship with Longmu 801 than Algonguin.
