Irreducible inguinal hernia: To reduce or not to reduce?
Annals of The College of Surgeons Hong Kong(2000)
Abstract
A case of irreducible inguinal hernia is reported. Successful reduction of the hernia resulted in delayed perforation of the sigmoid colon and faecal peritonitis. The question of whether one should attempt reducing an irreducible inguinal hernia is discussed.
