Inhibiting effect of aluminium on the masking of barium by vanadate ions during analysis

The absorbing power of aluminium hydroxide for vanadate ions, having been studied in earlier works, is used to avoid the masking of barium ions resulting from the presence of vanadate ions in test material of qualitative analysis, where the vanadate ion hinders the detection of barium at the corresponding point during the systematic analysis.
