We propose a serified implementation of the SMART 2D method to build up complete 3D kinematic databases for the determination of 3D velocity models via 3D prestack reflection tomography. The consistency of the prestack depth interpretation from one 2D line of a 3D survey to another is ensured by 2D depth migrating the result of zero offset raytracing on the 3D zero offset depth interpretation of the studied events.
