The Clinical Observation on Combined Therapy of TCM and WM for Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia,Phlegm-Heat Obstructing in the Lung of TCM

Objective:To object the clinical effect of Combined Therapy of TCM and WM on ventilator-associated pneumonia(VAP),Phlegm-Heat Obstructing in the Lung of TCM.Methods:51 patients were randomly divided into the controlled group(25 patients)and the treatment group(26 patients),in which patients received the usual treatment of WM,and Combined Therapy of TCMand WM individually.Symptom scores of VAP were measured before treatment and the 3th,7th and 14th day after treatment.Results:The curative effect was significantly better in the treatment group than in the control group.In the two groups,the symptom scores of fever,sputum and dyspnea on the 7th,14th day after treatment were lower than befor treatment.In the treatment group,scores of sputum on the 14th day after treatment was lower significantly than in the control group.Conclusion:Combined Therapy of TCM and WM for VAP is more preferable.
