摘要
RESULTS: HIV was present in 518/11,592 donors (413 male/87 female) for a prevalence of 4.5%. HBsAg was present in 1,722/11,592 donors (14.9%). Reactivity for both infections (HBV and HIV) was present in 131 persons (1.13%). co-infected persons were predominantly male (88.5%). Additional analysis of this data shows that the rate of HBV positivity in HIV- infected persons was 25.3%, while HIV was present in only 7.6% of HBV-infected persons. The age group 18-25 comprised 43.5% of co- infected persons, with a steady decline as age increased so that persons 42-60 years accounted for only 9.9% of co-infected donors.
