Abstract
To understand the characteristics of 29aa-peptides from Lumbricus rubellus, the research used colony forming unit technique to study antimicrobial spectrum, thermostability, action time, and minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC) of 29aa-peptides.The results showed:1) It was a wide antimicrobial spectrum, not only inhibiting common bacterias such as Escherichia coli,Staphylococcus areus but also fungi such as Saccharomyces cerevisiae,Myrothecium roridum etc.;2) Its antimicrobial activity was so powerful that a concentration of 0.009 g/L could significantly suppress the growth of Escherichia coli;3) It was good stability, the antimicrobial activity maintained at pH down to 2.2 or up to 11and kept 80% after boiling the peptides for 10 min.
