Abstract
Shallow-marine dasycladacean carbonates with aggregate grains are described from the stratigraphie well K south of Edling (Southern Carinthia, Austria). High moldic and solution porosity, dolomitization, caliche, radialgranular cements and breccisation indicate freshwater diagenesis. Dasycladaceans are abundant but poorly preserved. The existence of Diplopora cf. D. annulatissima PIA points to an (upper) Anisian to (lower) Ladinian age of the algal dolomites. Permoscythian redsediments were the closing of the borehole.
