Analysis on characteristics of forest fire in Zhejiang province.

Statistics and analysis on forest fires during 2004 and 2009 in Zhejiang province demonstrated that it had evident high occurrence period of forest fires.The result showed that there were total 3117 forest fires occurred from 2004 to 2009 in the province,among them,2067 fires during 17 high forest fire occurrence periods,accounting 66.31% of the total fire,which lasted 124 days.Damaged area,casualties,expenditures during high forest fire occurrence periods took respectively 71.13%,74.77% and 66.41%.Forest fires occurred from February to April,taking 82.35% of that during high occurrence periods.Major causes of fires were burning the grass on waste land and burning offering to the dead,occupying 45.84% and 31.56 of that during high occurrence periods.
