The Freedom Solo stentless valve compared to the Perimount Magna stented valve in aortic position: Are there any differences in clinical routine?

Objective: Implantation technique in stentless valves is considered as technically more demanding. Calcified aortic annulus and atypical origin of coronary ostia may complicate implantation. We reviewed our early implantation data of Freedom Solo stentless valves (FS) and compared patients characteristics and outcome to data obtained in the stented Perimount Magna (PM) valve.
