AVALIAÇÃO DE UMA NOVA METODOLOGIA PARA ANÁLISE DA RESPOSTA BRONCODILATADORA EM CRIANÇAS ASMÁTICAS

This work investigates the potential of the forced oscillation admittance in the analysis of the bronchodilator responsiveness in asthmatic children. The results obtained in 44 asthmatic children shows that forced oscillation admittance have higher sensitivity and specificity than forced oscillation traditional parameters. This work also suggests and evaluates the use of new admittance parameters. The evaluation of these parameters revealed more adequate performance than that previously described in the literature.
