Dental composites have been approached by PIXE only recently. Using standardless 3 MeV proton thick target PIXE, 14 composites were analyzed. Relative concentrations of 14 elements were employed for classifying these very diverse biomaterials by multivariate statistics clustering in 2D and 3D projections and by mean Z.
