Bleeding As An Initial Sign Of Carcinoma Of Tonsil - Report Of A Case

Oral bleeding is rarely the initial sign or presenting symptom in cancer of the tonsil. Persistent and repeated oral bleeding demands thorough visual and digital examination of the aerodigestive tract. A case of cancer of the tonsil in which the initial sign was oral bleeding is described. The prognosis for cancer of the tonsil localized to the tonsil is good when wide excision of the tonsillar area is accomplished.
